Home Learning Week 6

Your task this week is to do a Google Search for an image of a plant and find out it's name, or look in your garden and take a photo!  Print out the picture and bring it into school with the plant name written on it. If you don't have a printer at home you can print out your images at school from the i-pad.

Write a comment here on the blog that includes the name of your chosen plant and a description of it.
For example:

I have chosen a Rose from my Nana's garden. It has dark green leaves that are the shape of….

Mid Term Reflection
- Your task this week is to think very carefully about how you are going in school at the moment. What are you finding challenging? What are you enjoying? What are the things you need to work on?
Write a comment that includes an explanation of all of these things.
Don't forget - Capital letters, full stops - check it makes sense before you press 'publish'.

Reading Task Week 5

Your task is to get a journal/article/story or a book which you have read with the Teacher. 
Write a comment that includes the following things:

1. Name of the text,
2. Authors name,
3.            Four sentences that explain the MAIN thing you learned from reading it (if it was a    non-fiction text) OR
                Four sentences that explain the MAIN event/s that happened in the story (if it was a fiction text),
4. A sentence that explains if you would recommend this book to someone else and why/why not.
5. Write your first name at the end! :)

Have a look at this image and read the text around it. 

Choose one part that you really like and explain why you think this is important. Make sure your comment is different to everyone else's. 

You may like to discuss this with someone at home.

Please proof read your comment before you publish it. Make sure you have capital letters and full stops in the right place and that each word is spelled correctly. 

Reading Task Week 4

Your task is to choose an ARTICLE/non-fiction text from a book in your browsing box.
Read this carefully, then on this post, write a comment that includes these things:
- Name of the article/book and the author.
- A brief summary of what you found out from reading it.
- Five interesting words/ new vocabulary from the text, including what that word means.
Don't forget to write in full sentences that make sense and finish your comment with your name.
