Have a look at this image and read the text around it. 

Choose one part that you really like and explain why you think this is important. Make sure your comment is different to everyone else's. 

You may like to discuss this with someone at home.

Please proof read your comment before you publish it. Make sure you have capital letters and full stops in the right place and that each word is spelled correctly. 

Reading Task Week 4

Your task is to choose an ARTICLE/non-fiction text from a book in your browsing box.
Read this carefully, then on this post, write a comment that includes these things:
- Name of the article/book and the author.
- A brief summary of what you found out from reading it.
- Five interesting words/ new vocabulary from the text, including what that word means.
Don't forget to write in full sentences that make sense and finish your comment with your name.

Your Home Learning task this week is to write one way that you will show the STARS while online. 

You need to read what others have written and write something different to them.

For Example: I will be respectful when online, by reading other people's comments and replying to them with learning related feedback.

Write your goal in the comments including a reason WHY you want to work on this. What will you do to achieve it? How will you know you've achieved it?

Reading Task Week 2

For this task you need to choose a book from the Everyday Book Box. It must be a fiction book. Check with someone else if you don't know what this means. 

Read your chosen fiction book then answer these questions in full sentences….Write it as a 'comment' on this post and finish with your name.

1. Explain why someone else should read that book. Make it convincing.

2. What is the most memorable part of the story? Explain what happened and why it's memorable to you.

Write your answers in full sentences, just like we have practised.

Welcome to Marama 14's class blog!

Day one of school has been and gone….very quickly! 

It was great to meet each other and start 'Growing and Learning together'.

Have a look around our blog and see what interesting things you can find. There will be links to websites that can help you with your learning but the main reason we have a class blog is to share our learning and thoughts with each other in the online environment.

We'll talk about being SMART DIGITAL CITIZENS a lot over the next couple of weeks - you might know all about this already which is great.
