This week’s image is from the April 25, 2013 "Pictures of the Day" post on the Lens blog. All four living former presidents joined President Obama during the dedication ceremony at the George W. Bush Presidential Library in 2013. The original caption reads:

This was not the first time Mr. Berlusconi was caught sleeping at official ceremonies!!

ReplyDeleteIt looks like lots of men getting disappointed and bored about a funeral or a marriage place. It also looks like the man is getting quite annoyed by the other man who is sleeping and dragging around blocking the other man way to see the front stage. This must be a important time and setting because everybody is dressed up wearing tuxedos and fancy dresses holding valuable papers, something like that?

ReplyDeleteIt looks like there is a funeral and the man that is lying back in his chair is very sad because it is his son that has passed away, because he had a car crash and very got badly hurt so he needed to be let go, it was a very sad moment.

This man laying back looks like a general because he has a few badges, it looks like he's important and his security guard is pushing back his chair in a meeting. The general looks bored because he's laying back on his chair. People in the background are holding pieces of paper and waving into the air. They're at a garden waiting for someone to say something on a hot and sleepy sunny day.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like there at a conference or a meeting of some sort and the general has fallen asleep because he didn't get that much sleep and a man in a suit is staring at him and so is the woman in a black dress there wondering why the general is sleeping though all of the meeting/conference. ReplyDeleteIt looks like there is a man at a funeral of some sort and has fainted or has just falling a asleep in the sun. It looks like everyone is trying to ignore him snoring. Behind him is a gentlemen trying to wake him up by shaking him gently because the lady on the end is starting to whisper about him. The people in the picture are at an assembly with lots of other people and one of them is so bored that he has fallen asleep, his arms over the sheets of paper so that no one can steal them. People are staring at him and whispering, so the man behind him is bending over him, about to wake him up. There is a hedge in the background, so they might be in a park, and the sun is shining. there is not enough chairs, so the people at the very back of the crowd have to stand up. because the person who is waking up the sleeping man is standing up, the people behind him have to crane their necks to see past him.

DeleteI think the bored tiring people in this photo are waiting for someone to speak on the stage in front of them . This ceremony is very professional and not many people like you and me could go there but the people at the don't care they are just pushing through like they are the all blacks practicing for a big game . The man in the middle of the three people in the front( that are all famous) he went back because his security guard is telling him that this is an important meeting and that he will get more famous then the person to his left so he needs to listen By Kelly
ReplyDeleteI think that in this photo lot's & lot's of people are here for a speech that seems quiet boring because the man in the front row he is asleep & if you look closer lots of people are staring at there phones and looking down. I think there actually there because of the new stadium that was meant to be for the RWC in 2019 but will be made in time for the 2020 Olympics. This meeting was close to the end of the RWC to sort out the RWC for Japan in 2020 in 4 years. Some of the people are feeling bored to death and some are just really hot from the hot sun shining on the group of people which are probably thinking just get it over and done with.

In the front of the picture there is a man in blue who looks like he is in a high rank in the military.
He also has two security guards next to him.
He is looking up but his eyes are closed and behind that there is a crowd so some thing big must be happening and behind that there is a hedge

DeleteIn this picture it looks like some sort of presidential meeting in front of somewhere like the White House. The man in the centre of the picture has what looks to be a security guard leaning over him. There is also another guard beside him on the seats, and an asian lady with another lady whispering to her. It looks as if everyone is from a different country; like an international meeting. There is a big green hedge behind them, making the scene look like an outdoor garden. At this meeting someone might give a speech about something important, maybe an issue such as global warming.

This man is at a popular event and he passed out because he might have drank something early and it made him fell bad. or he had a medical problem. but he could of just fallen asleep because the speech was so boring. And every is trying to wake him up. By Emily
